LIE495 is and always has been about PEOPLE. We have always put relationships FIRST, even above football. We value integrity, loyalty, and class more than anything else. Human beings are not perfect. Relationships take work, respect, and dialogue. When it comes to football these are two of the most passionate (and a bit crazy) gentlemen. They have had their hands in this for a long time. They will continue to work together to promote football at the highest level. No egos, no nepotism, no politics, no daddy ball; just extremely competitive football.

We have been unifying the football community and getting people at all levels of the game to collaborate in spite of egos, race, economic class, and other factors.

We have created a network of resources and opportunities for young players that rivals the best football regions in America. Our 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩 includes deep relationships across the country, training and skill development expertise, and coach, family, and player education on everything from X and O’s, to recruiting, to NIL.

The past few years have seen an unprecedented array of milestones for Long Island Football including a slow culture change from the previously lacrosse and soccer dominated landscape, to the birth of more competitive youth programs, a huge new influx of football recruiters making the trip out to see high school coaches, national championship victories in Texas, a number of coaches from LIE495 moving up to coach at the high school level, and finally in 2023 the most players ever offered or committed in history to play in college.

The LIE495 shield has become synonymous with excellence. Our reputation precedes us as the leader in New York football and a powerful national contender. For more than 10 years we have been developing players as young as 6 years old, perfecting their football skills and teaching them life lessons that transcend the field. Over 40 of our former players in this year's high school graduating class will be going on to play football in college, many of them in Division I schools. Our program is about teaching the highest level of the sport, drowning out the noise and distractions, and reinforcing class and kindness. We insist on excellence on and off the field, not only from the players, but also from our parents and coaches.

Last time there was an FBU camp in Long Island it was hosted by Filardi and Carey in 2016.

It is no secret that Long Island has long been overlooked by recruiters, combines, and nationally recognized camps. These two gentleman have dedicated their lives since 2012 to raise the level of Long Island football. They have worked tirelessly to change the "football culture" on Long Island and give kids advanced opportunities and a "blueprint" to success, and the fruits of their labors are finally beginning to show.

Long Island has incredible football talent but it has always remained in the shadows of more popular sports like Lacrosse and Soccer.

The Long Island Elite National Team program has worked through skill development, education, and exposure to promote it's players and give them the best possible chance of playing in college and onward.

This year has seen an unprecedented number of Long Island Elite National Team Alumni with Division I offers and/or commitments. Players like Josiah Brown, Ian Strong, Preston Carey, KJ Duff, Aaris Bethea, Cayden Brown, and others have received national attention and numerous Power 5 offers including offers from the distinguished SEC.

Now more than ever Long Island football has garnered national attention, and with that a new wave of college football recruiters have begun making the trip out in search of talent.

It should come as no surprise that these two gentlemen are the ones responsible for bringing back FBU camp to Long Island for this summer 2023.

The prestigious and nationally recognized Football University camp will be led by Gerald Filardi and held on June 11 at Half Hollow Hills West High School.

Coach Benjamin Carey is USA Select Football League Director of the Year!

“I’ve been working with Coach Carey for 6 years and it has been an honor to have his Long Island Elite National Teams competing in our All-United States Bowl Games. This past year he brought 5 teams to San Antonio, Texas for football week. Over the years his teams have won a number of our National Championships and he consistently brings the highest caliber of football players to our event. He runs a well managed program that has professional coaches and teams that always exude good sportsmanship. He flawlessly executes every football and administrative demand of participating in our event as well as coordinating the travel of dozens of players, coaches, and families from New York to Texas. Coach Carey is a man of integrity and I look forward to working with him and hosting Long Island Elite Football for many years to come.”

Every year Football Week in San Antonio Texas features the NBC Sports National High School Combine and All-American Bowl game at the Alamodome as well as the All-United States Bowl Games for ages 7 to 14 years old. The best teams in the country compete for the National Championship.

COACH BILL ASHTON JOINS 13U LONG ISLAND ELITE NATIONAL TEAM

Coach Ashton has coached High School Football for over 35 years. His teams have been perennial playoff contenders and over that time he has produced two Power 5 FBS players, 2 D3 All-Americans, and one All-ACC player. Coach Ashton believes in the LIE495 mission and the importance of cultivating players through Youth Football.
