Congratulations to Ken Krapf and Brett Wilson, two outstanding Long Island Elite National Team Coaches that have been hired by the St Anthony's High School football program.Β Β Our program is an incubator for excellence, not only at the player level but in our coaching ranks as well.Β Β Other coaches from our program that were hired into Varsity programs to name a few are Tim Asbel (St John the Baptist), Will Platt (St Anthony's), Leston Douglas (St John the Baptist), Kahmal Roy (LIU), Keith Maurino (St Anthony's), just to name a few! Β Co-Founder Gerald Filardi was one of Penn State's most decorated Linebackers. He played for two national championships under Joe Paterno and later played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ran the Long Island Spartans, is the current head coach at Half-Hollow Hills West High School, and was hired as the NY Dragons head coach.Β Β Coach Kahmal Roy has been on the board of Long Island Elite Football for a number of years developing and educating coaches. He played football at Hofstra University on a full ride where he broke numerous school records and was named to multiple NCAA All-American teams. He had a professional career with stints at the N.Y. Jets, Saskatchewan Rough Riders and NY/NJ Xtreme rosters. He is currently the running backs coach at Long Island University. In addition to coaching college football, he is the founder of Position Specific Training Academics Social Standards Athletics Program, a sports training company that helps athletes excel on and off the field.Β Β Over the years Coaches Gerald Filardi and Coach Kahmal Roy's X & O classroom sessions and coaching education, their insistence on hiring experienced coaches (not just daddies) and their passion for developing the 495 elite coaching staff has created a well known and reputable pipeline for high schools, and an avenue for youth coaches to move on to the next level. An All-American and lifelong student of the game, Coach Krapf brings elite insight, discipline, and leadership to every huddle. Β

His 4.33 speed earned him a tryout with the New York Jets in 2009. Β Now based in Huntington Bay with his wife and three kids, Brett is a pillar of his communityβserving as a volunteer firefighter and giving back through sports. He founded the Long Island Running Back Academy in 2022 and co-founded BigDawg Athletes with his partner Steven King, shaping the next
generation of elite talent. Β

Β Pure football is played in this league with High School Federation rules from ages 7 and up!Β Β No coaches on the field.Β Β No restrictions on shooting the gap or what schemes you can run.Β Β There are special teams and there is blitzing, nosetackles, and every other aspect of the fundamental football game.Β Β Kids on teams in this league as young as 7 years old are capable of running hurry-up offenses with no coaches on the field, spread offenses and advanced schemes due to the exceptional coaching. The league is a pipeline for the top football talent in the Tri-State area, hence it's name.Β Β Bergen Stars, NJ Elite, Brooklyn Chiefs, Harlem Jets, Brooklyn Titans, SHO, Brooklyn United, Brick City and dozens of the best and long established teams in the Northeast play in this highly competitive travel league.Β Β The best part about BTS besides the high level of competition and coaching is the President Tyrone Franklin. He is a competitive football leader through-and-through with years of experience, not a parent volunteer, daddy, administrator, or egomaniac.Β Β Try out for the Long Island Elite National Team and play a fall schedule of teams in BTS outside of New York. When the BTS season is over you will play in the Turkey Bowl Thanksgiving weekend, the annual New Year's Bowl which in the past has been in Texas, Delaware, Virginia, Georgia, and other hotbeds around the country, and you will play in a number of other events through the year, finishing with the annual Liberty Challenge at Columbia University.Β Β The sole objective of the Long Island Elite National Team program is and always has been raising the level of football in Long Island, providing more advanced opportunities and education for football players, and preparing players for the highest level of High School and College football while raising men with class and integrity.
