Coach Anthony Confredo was nominated as a candidate for the Long Island Visionaries of the Year campaign with Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Visionaries of the Year is a 10-week fundraising campaign that runs from March 24 to June 3 to raise money to help blood cancer patients not only survive but thrive.

Coach Confredo is highly successful in everything he does. More importantly his biggest asset is the selfless and collaborative approach he has on people, places, and things. He is one of the kindest humans you will meet, and is one of those men that make you better just by sharing his presence. 

Anthony Confredo brings executive influence, industry leadership, and principled strength to the Long Island Elite Football Leadership Team. A senior leader at Maggio Environmental, Anthony plays a significant role in one of the region’s most established environmental and waste management companies. Widely respected throughout the Long Island development and construction community, he is also a prominent figure within the Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI), where his leadership and relationships contribute to shaping policy, standards, and growth across the industry.

A former standout at the University of Wisconsin, Coan led the Badgers to the 2019 Big Ten Championship Game and a Rose Bowl appearance, throwing for 2,700+ yards with elite efficiency and command of a pro-style system.

He then took his game to the national stage at the University of Notre Dame—throwing for over 3,100 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading the Irish to an 11–1 regular season and a College Football Playoff appearance. Big moments. Big stages. Consistent production.

From there, he earned his shot at the next level with the Indianapolis Colts, before continuing his professional career in Canada, where he became a Grey Cup Champion, proving he can win at every level of the game.
